What Happened On 24 Redemption?

Last night ended what seemed like an eternal wait for me. I
finally got my first new dose of 24 in over a year. The
writer’s strike of last season just killed me. But the wait was
well worth it.
Redemption was a little different than your normal 24,
having been filmed on location in Cape Town, but it was still
24 just the same, complete with split screens and that
classic ticking clock. For those who say it’s getting old, they
just don’t get this show. There is none like it.
For those who missed it, you can pick up the DVD tomorrow. Hot update - you can get the DVD NOW!!!

But here’s the Reader’s Digest version.
Jack is essentially hiding out in Africa because he’s wanted
for questioning in regard to the guy he beat up and tortured
in season 6. Served with a subpoena, he tells the guy
essentially to shove it.
But of course things don’t go well in Africa. Some dude
wants to take over the whole country and starts recruiting
kids to do his dirty work. So of course Jack is forced to save
these poor kids.
In the meantime, the US is getting its first woman president
and it’s inauguration day. While that’s going on, turns out
the son of the president elect has a friend who has gotten
himself into some hot water with some BAD people.
I’m not going to give away what happens in all this mess.
You’re just going to have to get the DVD. If you’re a 24
fanatic like I am, don’t worry, it’ll be worth the getting.
